Back in Vapi

I've been back in Vapi for a week now -- but there's not been much to say. Here's a few items from the week.

It's mosquito time again. Tuesday morning there were at least a dozen mosquitoes on our plastic cutting board, but as soon as I got the camera near, most of them flew off. Mosquitoes here are very skittish and difficult to catch -- they fly away as soon as they see you looking at them!
Today MWV held a public hearing required to get a new environmental permit. The Morai mill was set up with a giant tent much like that used for weddings. About 200 people attended the hearing. Lon gave some short introductory remarks in Hindi, but the meeting was required to be in Gujarati.
The MWV security guards wore turbans, sashes, and gaiters for the occasion.
