Ahmedabad Streets

We're spending four days in Ahmedabad. For two of those, Lon is at a paper-makers environmental conference (keynote speaker, no less), and I get to tour the city by myself. For the last two days, we both get to play tourist.

With about 6 million people, Ahmedabad is the largest city in Gujarat. It used to be the capital, until the government moved to nearby Gandhinagar. Even so, cows roam the streets.
The colorful Law Garden bazaar was within easy walking distance of our hotel. It specializes in traditional Gujarati clothing and fabrics. Spent too many rupees!
Elephants are massive! (And notice the ubiquitous satellite dish.)
And are common enough on the streets that the locals seem to ignore them.
