After visiting the Bodhnath Stupa, we had lunch and a tour of the Tibetan Handicraft & Paper factory. Lon would say that it's not really a paper factory, but a converting plant. The paper is made from the bark of the Daphne shrub and makes an exceptionally strong paper. The handsheets are made elsewhere, and this factory dyes, prints, and cuts to make paper products from boxes to notebooks to greeting cards.
