Our final visit of the day was to the Punakha Dzong (fortress). This was a most imposing building and still holds active government offices and a monastery.

After visiting the Dzong, we walked about 1 km to a 200-m long suspension bridge over the Pho Chhu. |
We walked across the bridge (and back). It was no where near as scary as it looked! |
