It's our last day together in India. The younger Rollinsons will head for the States in the late evening or early (as in 2 AM early) morning. We'll be returning to Vapi in the morning.
But first, one more morning in Madurai.

It doesn't seem possible that peacocks can fly, much less get fairly high in a tree, but while we were at our hotel, famous for their flock of peacocks, they mostly preferred to roost in trees. |
We had an early morning flight back to Mumbai, with a lay-over in Chennai. After checking into our hotel, we had our driver, Sachin, take us out for some last minute shopping. (All except, Ross, that is. He stayed back at the hotel to rest since he was troubled by a cold and allergies.) Afterwards, we stopped by Sachin's family's house, which is very near the airport.

All the "girls" are here. On the left is Sachin's Navratri display. |

Sachin and his family. |

Sachin's extended family runs a street food both. They're specialty is their own special-recipe "Chinese pakoras". Yum! |
What a great way to end the trip!
