Looking from Trafalgar Square back to Big Ben. |
St-Martin-in-the-Fields is no longer "in the fields" but on one side of busy Trafalgar Square. We checked their schedule, and decided to take in a chamber octet concert that evening. |
So we had a light dinner in the crypt. An interesting environment for a meal. |
The east window in St. Martin's was severely damaged in World War II, and was replaced in 2008 with a new one that has this interesting interpretation of the Christian cross. |
It was dark when we walked back to our hotel, and the British Museum was closed, but even at night it still has an imposing presence. |
