Vegetable Market
Before dinner, we toured the main market in Mysore. It was crowded and lively. There was one area devoted to flowers, and a few stalls selling other items. Unlike other vegetable markets I've been to, each stall seemed to have a specialty -- bananas, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, and many more.

The original disposable plate: Food is served directly on banana leaves. When dinner is over, the leaves (with any remaining food inside) are folded and put outside for livestock to eat. |
