| We did not see a cassowary while we were in Cape Trib, but they are not rare. And they are big and can be dangerous (even lethal if you antagonize one). |

| At Cape Trib the rainforest meets the ocean. The rainy season can have torrential rainfall, flooding roads - possibly as deep as 2 meters (6 1/2 feet!). |
