The Muiron Islands are part of the Ningaloo Reef system, just off the Northwest Cape peninsula, near Exmouth. Looking for a good snorkeling site, we ended up a little bit away at Serrurier Island - a small, fish-shaped island nearer the Western Australia coast.

It looked like a series of trees along the horizon, but it's actually a mind-fooling mirage. |
|
This natural gas infrastructure is not a mirage. Western Australia is noted for natural beauty, and a wide range of industrial and mining operations - not always a good mix. |
|
In the afternoon, we had an opportunity to snorkel from the beach on Serrurier Island. As it turned out, this was the only snorkeling during our cruise that did not require advanced snorkeling experience and strong swimming ability. |

And another stunning sunset. |
