Today we flew from Sydney to Cairns (pronounced "Cans"), and then our guide drove us in a mini-bus (towing a luggage trailer) up to Port Douglas.
Leaving Sydney. |
Crocodiles can almost always be seen where the Mowbray River crosses the road near Port Douglas. |
The Mossman Gorge is just a few miles further up the road from Port Douglas. We had an afternoon visit to the Mossman Gorge Cultural Center, which included the Aboriginal "Dreamtime Walk". |

Boyd's Forest Dragon on a tree in Mossman Gorge. |
Our guide extraordinaire, Dax. Unflappable! |
