I spent the day trying to sleep off a case of food poisoning, so Lon went on the Cusco tour without me. Thus today's posts are compiled from talking with Lon, viewing the photos he took, and consulting a couple of guide books.
Sacsayhuaman is a former Inca fortress that was overtaken by the Spanish in 1536, and subsequently looted for useable stones to make other structures in Cusco. It is still an impressive site.
