Galapagos Day 2
The walk through the rocks and along the cliffs of Punta Suarez was nothing short of spectacular. Birds were everywhere, and they paid no attention to human visitors.

The vertical bluffs and flat land make the perfect habitat for albatross breeding grounds. |

Española is known for its waved albatross breeding grounds. The high cliffs make it easy for the land-awkward birds to take flight. |

Sea Lions

These two relatively young pups were having a good time. |
This newborn pup was having trouble finding a nipple to nurse. It still had the umbilical cord attached, and the placenta was under a nearby shrub. And it whimpered like a newborn baby. |
But it didn't take long to find nourishment. |
