China - Beijing - Modern Architecture

Friday, 19 April through Sunday, 21 April, 2019

Beijing has some unusual modern architecture. Here are some samples:

From one angle, the CCTV Building (China Central TV) looks like it has an interesting cantilever design.
From another angle, it gets the name "big pants". The reimagination of the skyscraper as a loop is partially based on feng shui principles.
This building, near the 2008 Olympic campus, is locally known as the "bottle opener".
Towers built for the 2008 Summer Olympics.
The 2008 Olympic "Birds Nest" Stadium.
The tallest building in Beijing, popularly known as "China Zun" (China Wine Vessel). I think it resembles an Erlenmeyer flask.
